![]() But why did barry not engage as soon as zoom gave wally. When the exchange was happening wally was given in exchange for barry's speed. But then zoom agrees and bring him to the base. When zoom took wally, ramon talked to zoom in some magical way which is OK-ish. What was Barry's plan when he was stuck to the ground with the trap thing? Talk a serial killer out of killing people? Why not sedate him, kill him or cripple him. Yet when zoom was trapped they did not come to barry to shoot at him. When they were trying to trap zoom you saw Wells and Joe guarding the door with plasma guns or pulse guns. Which means if Ramon/Vibe would've opened the whole thing he would surely perish in a battle. When they were trying to open the portal flash did not have his suit on so he was slower then zoom. This episode was so disappointing i had to write a review about it. We can pretty much sum it up with a new title like this: Barry Screws Up Again, But This Time In a Stupider and Bigger Way Than Ever Before. (What that really means is that if the writers can't figure out how to write a more thorough and legitimate plot, then there's no chance I'm watching this show again.) I mean, really? This is the PIVOTAL plot turn that kicks off the finale! And there is absolutely nothing in it that makes it believable, enjoyable, realistic, interesting. But if Barry has not grown or matured in that time, then I'm done with the show. I'll finish this season out, and I will commit to episodes 1, 2, and 3 of next season (if there is a next season). But this trope's banner has been flown one too many times for me. ![]() And here's the biggest problem: Barry never matures after making these stupid decisions! I could handle one or two episodes per season wherein Barry makes an imprudent decision, but learns from it and grows. The writers have again let Barry make a unilateral decision that makes NO SENSE (In fact, it makes me dislike the protagonist), and which puts both worlds in greater danger than before. But wait! It's worth it, right!? Gimme a break. And let's think this through: If he gets that speed, he'll probably kill thousands of other people. We have the fastest speedster ever holding a person hostage in order to gain more speed. Zoom" to put some family drama thing (Willy moving in Joe's apartment) and the love story of the less interesting character of the story, Iris? Was it really necessary to put in an episode waited 2 weeks with the title "Vs. Why the parent trap non-sense? Flash is fast, Zoom is slow, Flash can catch Zoom without any trap. Why the Flash, now the fastest man alive, would give up his speed? To respect the promise? Is it honorable to respect a trade with a villain crazy mad serial killer that probably will use his speed to kill and scare not one, but two Earth? What is this? Even if they have a plan, it makes no sense. ![]() Let's say Cisco couldn't get a clear idea of the place, they invited him in Star Labs, he brought and gave them the hostage (really? Does this EVER Happen in a trade? It's a really stupid idea from the evil "not-so-smart" Zoom). Why should have Barry given up his speed? Cisco could see the place, so he could have located him and Flash, now faster then Zoom, could have saved Willy. OK, they didn't think about it and Zoom escaped and took Willy. Was the talking a smart choice? Couldn't they sedate him first (with the same thing they sedated Reverse Flash in the first season)? 4. Was the waiting too long to worth the risk of opening the portal? 3. Was it really necessary to open the portal and kill Zoom? He is sick to death, in a bunch of years he will die by himself. How could they not think about it? What if the first times Cisco could open the portal for real and Zoom popped in? Would they just all die because Barry couldn't run fast enough? It was obvious, till the last time, that the attempts would fail. All times Flash had not the suit on, so he had not the device that makes him fast enough to fight Zoom. Before opening for real the portal to the other universe, Cisco and company attempted a bunch of times to open it. These are my points and be careful because they contain spoilers. I had big hopes for this episode, but at the end I felt insulted.
