Emulation is (and always will be) imperfect by its very nature. The catch here is that emulators must become exponentially more complex due to the fact that by design they are not running on native hardware. So as the complexity of game consoles rises roughly according to Moore’s law, so must the complexity of emulators in order to reflect the nature of increasingly complex hardware in the form of software. Moore’s law applies (in a general sense) to game consoles too. I can (sort of) understand where you’re coming from here, but I’m afraid it just boils down to the nature of modern emulation. ![]() Developers (generally) hate to do it, but it can make the development effort so much easier (thus resulting in a better emulation). Every ( and I mean every) software project needs help with documentation. Contributing to the code base is great, (and who knows you might have the next great timing algorithm locked up somewhere in that noggin), but not necessarily required. Everyone seems to think that you have to know how to code in order to to make a valuable contribution to emulation projects.
